The Old Dragon Returns. Smrgol is back after 20+ years away from Magic: The Gathering and making up for lost time. I played in high school with my buddies, then with my ex wife and her friend group. We peaked in the Mercadian Masks era, had kids, and the cards stopped hitting the table. Life happened. When my stepson rekindled his love for Magic it pulled me back in. Now I sit at a table with my stepson and twin sons, with my married son joining as the young dragon to my old one. Pack openings. Deck upgrades. Old school builds converted to Commander. MTGA streaming. An old dragon getting schooled by players half his age and coming back swinging. I am not the new player. I am not the pro.
