Moving the Goalposts - (MTG)

Moving the Goalposts (MTG) Kilifi is a community-based organization that, since 2002, uses football to empower girls and young women in the rural and urban areas of Kilifi and Kwale County, Kenya. More than four thousand girls and young women (aged 9 - 25 years) participate in MTG's football leagues and another three thousand in annual MTG tournaments. In addition to football, MTG helps lead health awareness and education projects with MTG members striving to create a more inclusive, just and peaceful community where girls' and young womens' human rights are realized and protected. MTG works with stakeholders and partners in Kenya and around the globe and is recognized as an innovative and unique sport and development organization having won the 'Beyond Sport' Health Award in 2013.
